Volunteer Projects
Through the ever changing needs of the park there are always many volunteer projects available for anyone to get involved!
Current Volunteer Opportunities
Habitat Restoration
Mt. Helix Park has a vast and intricate ecosystem. The Habitat restoration group is dedicated to beautifying and restoring native plants to the Park. This group removes invasive plants, enjoys educational lectures, and plants California native species. Come join us the first Saturday of every month.
Food and Wine Festival
The Food and Wine Festival is the largest event thrown by the Park every year. With an event of this magnitude, the Park has over 30 different different volunteer opportunities. These include parking coordination, visitor check-in, set up/take down, office administrative work, and so much more. This event will be held this year on August 17 and we hope to see you there!
Pups and Pizza
This fun member's only event is on June 15th. Members get to bring their dogs to the Park and enjoy some slices of pizza! This event is in need of volunteer parking coordinators, set up/take down, and help handing out food/refreshments.
Astronomy Night
This exciting member-only event is in October. The San Diego Astronomy Association brings a variety of telescopes to give members a peak into the vast mystery of space. This event needs volunteers for parking coordinators, set up/take down, and help handing out food/refreshments.
Let's Work Together
Thank you to everyone involved in our volunteer projects. Passionate volunteers like you are what makes this Park great.
